| Welcome to my website.
A little about myself. I was born and raised on the southwest side of Chicago and I still consider Chicago my first home. When I turned six years old
our family would take a yearly two-week camping trip out west, mainly to Colorado. Thus began my connection to Colorado and all it has to offer.
As I grew older (mid 20’s) I was talked into taking a vacation to Europe. I was immediately attracted to the medieval villages, with their cobbled lanes
and picturesque squares.
That is when I bought my first camera, a Canon Sureshot, so I could bring the memories home with me. But it was not until I bought my first
digital camera in 2005, a Canon S40, that photography became a passionate hobby of mine. At Red Rocks College I took a class in digital photography
and in 2008 I bought my first DSLR camera. I now own a Nikon D90 with a DX Nikkor 18-200mm VRII lens.
The more recent photos (Colorado, Italy, and Ireland) were shot with the Nikon D90. The France and Arizona photos were taken with my first DSLR
camera, a Nikon D60.
Colorado I moved out to Colorado in 2003 after most of my family had moved out there many years before, and I now reside in Evergreen.
In my spare time I like to take short hiking trips around Colorado. Due to work they are mostly day trips but luckily there is a lot to see within a days drive from Evergreen. The
locations of my day hikes are:
Highway 74 and Lair of the Bear Park are between Morrison and Evergreen, an especially beautiful drive in the fall.
Shrine Pass is just off I-70 between Frisco and Vail.
Boreas Pass is between Como (Hgwy 285) and Breckenridge.
Butler Gulch is off Hgwy 40 west of Empire, a couple miles from the Jones Pass exit.
Kenosha Pass is on Hgwy 285 about an hour south of Connifer.
Europe Every year I still try to take a nice two week vacation to Europe. Italy and France are two of my favorite countries because of the many
medieval villages to explore, along with the beautiful countrysides and coastlines. The medieval villages are like a maze of cobbled alleys and archways. You never know
what you will find around the next corner. I try to give you a sense of what it is like to walk through a medieval village by taking many pictures of the narrow streets, squares,
and buildings.
I hope you enjoy the pictures. If you are interested in purchasing any prints I hope to get a pricing page put together soon.
